Phillip Vitug, Director and Choreographer, has been in the Liberty area for more than 10 years and has more than 15 years of background in the art of Dance, Singing and Modeling, as well as extensive performance experience. Mr. Phil, as he is affectionately called by his students, has studied in L.A. under Mr. Joe Tremain, in Chicago under Mr. Gus Giordano and in New York under Mr. Frank Hachette and Mr. Charles Kelly. Mr. Phil has also been lead MC for Cruise Lines and performed for Norwegian, Celebrity and Holland Cruise Lines. He has also performed for Bush Gardens, Jean Ann Ryan Productions and Anita Mann Productions. Mr Phil has owned and operated The Conservatory of Dance Education for 8 years. His passion for dance is apparent in each class he teaches, of which he tries to pass along a poositive attitude and a love for the art as well. His students of dance have gone on to follow in his footsteps, working and performing on Cruise ships and other well known venues. Mr. Phil takes a "Let's have fun" approach with his students, but he does expect them to work hard and practice. Mr. Phil has choreographed his Competition Troupe to be an award winning team, recently being recognized for his superior dance technique and choreography. Mr. Phil is a family man, and he extends his arms to his CODE family as well. Emily Jellison, Emily has been dancing for the past 20 years. In high school, Emily took lessons, performed, competed and assisted here at the Conservatory of Dance Education, where she developed her CODE style of dance. Emily attended Northwest Missouri State, where she was a member of the dance team. She graduated with a degree in elementary education and currently teaches at Lewis & Clark elementary, here in Liberty. Emily has taught dance lessons at The Conservatory of Dance Education for the last several years. Suzie Gillespie, Suzie has been dancing for 26 years. During this time she has toured with Inertia Dance Company, performed at the American College Dance Festival in Iowa, and danced for Studio C in St. Louis where she achieved multi national title. Suzie has also been a dance captain for various productions for the Missouri State Tent Theatre and an instructor for the Missouri Fine Arts Academy. In 2002 she earned a BFA in Dance Performance from Missouri State University and in 2006 an Associate Degree in Nursing. She is currently a RN at Liberty Hospital. |
